Patrick Melton, a fitness instructor, and University of Kentucky exercise science student provides exercise tips for the Frankfort community’s seniors. Melton’s passion for health and fitness started at an early age. He has been sharing his knowledge and helping others ever since.
Melton understands the importance of physical activity and its numerous benefits for the body and mind. He dedicates himself to guiding and supporting seniors interested in improving their health and wellness.
“As we age, it becomes increasingly important to prioritize our physical health and stay active,” said Melton. “Exercise not only helps us maintain our physical health, but it also has numerous benefits for our mental and emotional well-being.”
Melton is offering free introductory personal training sessions to seniors in the Frankfort area who are interested in learning more about nutrition and exercise. He hopes to inspire others to take ownership of their health and wellness journey and positively change their lives.
In addition to his work as a fitness instructor, Melton is also an avid traveler and enjoys exploring different cultures. He believes that learning about new places through travel has opened his eyes to the world outside of Kentucky and has helped him grow as a person.

About Patrick Melton
Patrick Melton was born and raised in Frankfort, Kentucky. His family moved to Lexington, Kentucky, when he was 13, which he found difficult to adjust to. Patrick decided to focus on sports and academics, building teamwork and leadership skills by playing sports throughout his life. His parents instilled a strong work ethic, leading him to spend long hours at the gym and practicing.
Patrick pursued his passion for health and fitness in high school by working at a local gym. He studied the fundamentals of exercise science and nutrition, becoming involved in the fitness community. Patrick began sharing his knowledge by teaching group classes. He developed a genuine love for positively impacting others’ lives through fitness.
During his senior year of high school, Patrick was accepted into the exercise science program at the University of Kentucky. He enjoys learning about what he is passionate about every day. The knowledge Patrick has gained has helped him understand why being physically active matters and how exercise has multiple benefits for the body and mind. He also enjoys sharing his knowledge with others interested in becoming healthier and fitter. Patrick is living his best life while pursuing a degree at the University of Kentucky.
Patrick can be found at music festivals and concerts, off-roading in his Jeep, or playing the piano when he is not working out or studying. He enjoys traveling and exploring different cultures and technology, which has opened his eyes to the world outside Kentucky.
